Agent-Based Virtual Communities for Interactive Digital Television

This paper describes a multi-agent framework designed to support the creation and effective management of virtual communities in an Interactive Digital Television (IDTV) scenario. The possibilities that this framework offers are demonstrated by means of two sample applications: a real-time community game and an asynchronous auction.
